THE RUSTY ANCHOR
"If you're not interested in doing a play in a Living Room, then you can't be interested in doing a play on Broadway" - Billy Porter
The Rusty Anchor Acting Company’s home theatre is located in Washington Heights, NYC. Started by Director and Record Producer Mitchell Walker, RAAC is a throwback to the underground theatre scene of the 1960's that has seen a renaissance in recent years. The Heights has been helmed the "New Brooklyn" by the New York Times and it has a growing art scene to back that up.
Theatre 4C is an immersive 25 seat Black Box Living Space in the heart of Hamilton Heights bustling art scene. Presenting Classic American plays, acoustic musicals and artists, and staged readings of new or rediscovered works. Come for Tea, stay for an experience
The Rusty Anchor Acting Company provides a unique and highly personalized environment. Encouraging creatives to achieve the highest level of success while staying just under the radar of commercial theatre. Browse through our site to learn more about what we have to offer.
“I always liked the visuals to be choice and at the same time minimalist. And, I love black boxes. After all, that's what theatre is, it's an empty space, and it's both limited and unlimited because the space is the space, but what you can do with people's imaginations is really endless.” - Harold Prince
